The link below opens a self-running slide show of recent web site design work. Many of the projects are still in design development. Several iterations of some projects are presented, to give a sense of the breadth of design exploration that occurs for a typical client. Each sketch has a caption listing the client and status of the project. Mousing over the image in the slide show will bring up the caption. The slide show will loop at the end (approximately 25 images/2 minutes).

Web sketches are prepared at a resolution of 800px wide (to maximize browser/monitor compatibility). Over time, the optimal window size has gotten larger, and we are in the midst of the next major transition in terms of browser window size. Therefore, some examples are scaled down to fit the window.

Optimal monitor resolution for viewing the slide show is 1024x768px (minimum). The slide show is a fixed height, so some images are truncated vertically. Clicking anywhere on a truncated image will open a full view of the site sketch in a seperate window.

A note on development/programming.

Frank Mikus offers both design and development services. In most instances, complex development/programming will be outsourced by the client or internally (depending on contract relationship). Projects we assume responsibility for (either directly or managing developers) are delivered to match design expectations 100%. In other circumstances, development can often compromise design intention. Therefore, we do not display finish websites that we feel are substandard from a programming standpoint.
